SUMMER CAMP

Required Items
 

  • Medications with directions

  • Duffle bag or pack

  • Boy Scout Uniform

  • Sturdy shoes or hiking boots

  • Raincoat or poncho

  • Sweatshirt/fleece/ light jacket

  • Work Gloves

  • Shorts (2-3 pair)

  • Long pants – 1 pair

  • Underwear (2-3 extras)

  • Socks (2-3 extras)

  • Scout t-shirts (2-3 extras)

  • PJ’s

  • Swim suit and towel

  • Sleeping bag

  • Toothbrush and paste

  • Soap in container

  • Shampoo

  • Sunscreen

  • Insect Repellent (non-aerosol)

  • Wristwatch

  • Flashlight and batteries

  • Pocketknife

  • Pen, pencil, paper

  • Merit badge books & prerequisites

  • Cash for kits for merit badges

  • Boy Scout Handbook

  • Waterbottle or hydration pack

  • Spending cash

  • Day pack

  • Shower shoes

  • Cap/hat/bandana

  • Pillow

  • Camp Chair

  • Disposable Camera

  • Ziploc bags to keep things dry


Order of the Arrow Members
 

  • OA Sash – needed for Spreading of Ashes – Sunday pm

  • Call-out Ceremony Tuesday pm

  • Ordeal Ceremony – Wednesday pm

  • What not to pack or bring to camp:

  • Electronic devices

  • Items of value

  • Extra food that will attract animals – no food will be

  • allowed in tents

  • Firearms, ammunition, fireworks, alcohol, and non-perscription drugs are prohibited

 

Notes
 

  • Mark all items with scouts name

  • When packing keep in mind each scout will need to carry all his gear to campsite

  • Pack swim suit and towel so it is readily available when we arrive at camp for swim checks

  • Medications with directions given to adult leader at church parking lot before departure

  • Medical Forms – we can not leave the church until all forms are collected

  • Please leave neckerchief and slides at home to avoid losing them. No open-toe shoes are allowed at camp (visitors too)
